Batwing or sharknose: which fairing do I have?
- Batwing fairing (Street Glide, Electra Glide, Ultra): the fairing is mounted to the handlebars and turns when you steer.
- Sharknose fairing (Road Glide): the fairing is mounted to the frame and does not turn. You recognise it by the two headlights side by side.
Batwing 1998-2013: WHD.SG or SG.V2. Road Glide 1998-2013: WHD.RG. 2014-2023: WHD14+ or V2.
Add-ons: Maestro module and WHD.UNLOC
- iDatalink Maestro module: shows up to 10 digital gauges on the screen (oil pressure, fuel, temperature). Included as standard with the V2, optional with the SG.V2 (2009-2013).
- WHD.UNLOC upgrade kit: for the WHD14+, for gauges on the screen and compatibility with original Harley Boom amplifiers.

Navigating in Europe
In Europe you navigate through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto with Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps. That works on all five radios and is always up to date. The built-in iGo navigation of the V2, SG.V2 and WHD14+ has maps of the US and Canada.

Installation
The radio is plug-and-play: open the fairing, take out the old radio, plug in the connector, fit the new radio. Many riders do it themselves. Prefer to have it done? Installation is possible at several places in the Netherlands. Ask us on WhatsApp.
Frequently asked questions
I'm looking for a Soundstream HDHU radio. Do you have it?
The HDHU radios are Soundstream's previous generation. The newer models fit the same Harleys: the HDHU.14si has been succeeded by the WHD14+ (Touring 2014-2023), the HDHU.9813RG by the WHD.RG (Road Glide 1998-2013) and the HDHU.9813SG by the WHD.SG (Street Glide and Electra Glide 1998-2013). Can I replace my original Harley radio without cutting any wiring?
Yes. All Soundstream radios here are plug-and-play: they use the original connector and fit the original fairing. You can always go back to the original radio.
Do my handlebar controls still work?
Yes. Volume, next/previous track and the source button keep working.
Do Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work wirelessly?
Yes. All five models support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
Can I navigate with it in Europe?
Yes, through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto with Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps. The built-in GPS of some models only has maps of the US and Canada.
Does a Soundstream radio fit my pre-1998 Harley?
For model years 1996-1997 an adapter is needed. Send us your year and model and we'll work it out for you.
Does it fit my 2024 or newer Road Glide or Street Glide?
No. Touring models from 2024 are built completely differently; the WHD14+ and the V2 are made for 2014-2023.
Does it work with my original Harley amplifier?
That depends on your model. The 1998-2013 models work with Harley's original MTX amplifier, but not with the Harman Kardon Boom amplifier. Just ask us and we'll check your bike.
