The model
About the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy FLSTFI (2004)
Since 1990 the Fat Boy has been one of Harley-Davidson’s best-known Softail models: lots of chrome, wide wheels and the hidden rear suspension of the Softail frame, which makes the rear look like a classic hardtail.
The FLSTFI is the version with electronic fuel injection instead of a carburettor. That gives easy starting and smooth throttle response, in cold and hot weather alike.
Under the tank sits the Twin Cam 88B: an air-cooled 1450 cc (88 cubic inch) V-twin with counterbalancers, so it vibrates less than the older Softail engines.
This Fat Boy is a 2004 model. Registration rules differ per country. In the Netherlands, bikes from 2005 or older go through a regular RDW inspection station, and we work with people there who can handle the inspection and Dutch registration for you.
