The model
About the Electra Glide Classic Trike (2002)
Since 1965 the Electra Glide has been Harley-Davidson’s big touring model. It was the first Harley with an electric starter, which is where the name comes from.
The Electra Glide Classic (FLHTC) has the well-known batwing fairing with radio, which turns with the handlebars. In 2002 it had the Twin Cam 88, an air-cooled 1450 cc V-twin. This version still has a carburettor; fuel injection was an option in those years (FLHTCI).
Harley-Davidson has only built its own trike, the Tri Glide, since 2009. Earlier trikes are conversions: a Touring Harley fitted in the US with a two-wheel rear axle. This Electra Glide is one of those conversions.
A trike is relaxed to ride: no balancing at a standstill, and room for a passenger and luggage. That makes it popular with touring riders and with people who don’t hold a motorcycle licence.
The original radio in the batwing fairing can be replaced with a radio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, such as the Soundstream WHD.SG. More on that in the questions below.

FAQ
Questions about this bike
Do I need a motorcycle licence for this trike?
That depends on your country. In the Netherlands, for example, a car licence (B) obtained before 19 January 2013 lets you ride a trike without a motorcycle licence; with a B licence obtained later you need a motorcycle licence (A). Check the rules in your own country, or ask us.
What does the price include?
The price is $9,000 with the trike already in Rotterdam, so shipping is already paid. Import duty and VAT come on top. Ask for an all-in calculation via WhatsApp so you know exactly where you stand.
Where is the trike and when can I collect it?
The trike has already arrived in Rotterdam. After payment the customs papers are arranged and you can collect it. We can also arrange transport to your address in Europe.
What about inspection and registration?
Registration rules differ per country. In the Netherlands, for example, the RDW treats a trike as a three-wheeled motor vehicle, not an ordinary motorcycle, so the inspection is different. We work with people in the Netherlands who can handle the inspection and Dutch registration; with Dutch papers it is an EU-registered vehicle. Ask us via WhatsApp.
Do I get a Carfax or damage report?
Yes. You see the damage history before you pay. The trike has a Clean Title.
Can I see the trike first?
Watch the video to see it from every side and hear it run. Want to see more? Ask via WhatsApp for extra photos or a close-up video.
Does a CarPlay radio fit?
Yes. The 2002 Electra Glide has a batwing fairing, which takes the Soundstream WHD.SG or SG.V2: plug-and-play, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Ask us via WhatsApp.
How do I pay, and is it safe?
You first receive an invoice. You then pay into the company’s US business account, not a personal account.
What if I don't like it?
If you don’t like the trike when you collect it from the shipping agent in the Netherlands, you get your money back, including the transport costs.
