About this bike
What I think of it
This is no ordinary Road King. This 2004 Road King Custom has been turned into a proper American custom bagger.
The deep purple metallic paint looks almost black in the shade and really comes alive in the sun. Bright green graphics on the tank and matching accents on the bags make it instantly recognisable.
The stretched bags and stretched rear fender give it a long, low silhouette. Big black exhaust tips sit under the bags, and the small round tail lights keep the rear clean.
Up front there is a 21 inch fat spoke wheel with a custom fender. The fork, high bars and crash bars are black, which contrasts nicely with the purple paint and the polished engine.
It also has an Arlen Ness air cleaner and custom floorboards. Only 23,000 miles and a Clean Title.
The photos are a little dark; the video shows the colour and the details best.

The model
About the Harley-Davidson Road King Custom (2004)
The Road King came out in 1994: the engineering and frame of an Electra Glide, but without the big fairing. In 2004 the Road King Custom joined it, lower and sleeker than the standard Road King.
FLHRSI is the model code: FLHR stands for the Road King, the S for the Custom version and the I for fuel injection. So this bike has the Twin Cam 88 with electronic fuel injection.
The Twin Cam 88 is an air-cooled V-twin of 88 cubic inches (1450 cc), with a five-speed gearbox and belt drive. That gives the familiar Harley sound and lots of low-down pull.
This Road King Custom was then built further into a custom bagger, with stretched bags, a stretched rear fender and a 21 inch front wheel. The result: Harley-Davidson touring DNA with the look of an American custom bagger.
Model year 2004: registration rules differ per country. In the Netherlands, bikes from 2005 or older can be presented at a regular RDW inspection station, and our partners there can handle the inspection and Dutch registration for you.

FAQ
Questions about this bike
What is the difference between a Road King and a Road King Custom?
The Road King Custom (FLHRS) arrived in 2004 and is lower and sleeker than the standard Road King. The I in FLHRSI means this bike has fuel injection. This Road King Custom was then modified further, with stretched bags, a stretched rear fender and a 21 inch front wheel.
Is this an Evo or a Twin Cam?
This is a 1450 cc Twin Cam 88 with fuel injection. The Road King had the Evo engine up to and including 1998, and the Twin Cam from 1999.
Want a 21 inch front wheel like this on your own Harley?
You can. Take a look at the DNA Mammoth fat spoke wheels or a 21 inch front wheel on a Softail.
Looking for a different Road King?
See all Road Kings for sale or send me a WhatsApp with what you are looking for, and I will find one for you in America.
Is shipping included in the price?
Yes. The price of $6,000 includes shipping to the port of Rotterdam.
What costs come on top after arrival?
After arrival you pay for unloading the container, the customs declaration, import duty and VAT. Get in touch and I will calculate the import taxes for this bike.
Can I register this bike in my country?
Yes. You register it with your national vehicle authority, and the rules differ per country. In the Netherlands, bikes from 2005 or older go through a regular RDW inspection station; our partners there can handle the inspection and Dutch registration, which usually makes registering it elsewhere in the EU easier. You can keep asking questions about registration on WhatsApp after the sale.
Do I get a Carfax or damage report?
Yes. You see the bike’s damage history before you pay. Title status of this bike: Clean Title.
Can I see the bike first?
Not in person, but I make the best video I can, so there are no surprises.
How do I pay, and is it safe?
You first receive an invoice. You then pay into the company’s US business account, not a personal account.
What if I change my mind?
If you do not like the bike when you collect it from the shipping agent in the Netherlands, you get your money back, including the transport costs.
